I've got it!!!

The book arrived two days ago, but I couldn't show it because the book dealer (a friend and neighbour of mine) refused to hand it over! Did I say "friend??? She said, she first has to show it to her husband, her daughter, her brother and a lot of other people. I'm astonished, it didn't take more time.Perhaps she was  afraid I'd put a spell on her (I worked on some miniatures for the professional witch...)
So now I can watch Maggie Rudys wonderful mice without starting the computer. You can visit her website and admire her absolute gorgeous mice - but I think, it would be nice to have her book too.

Pop Up Dolls

At the 1zu12 Show in May I will not offer toys, so I thought to add these pop up dolls to my shop. There you also can see them moving - I made 3 little videos... My favorite is the little blue eyed mouse. She is like a little princess.

Garden Seats - For Sale

Okay - I said, I'd make cushions.... but I couldn't stop to  work on the designs, so it will take some more days, before I can put them in my shop. For today, you have to look at more "Stone" Garden Seats. These ones will be in my shop today.

Giveaway for Patty arrived

I'm so happy, the giveaway arrived today. I made everything from scratch - except the wooden bench. I bought the blank seat from Beate Holzner, because I love the style so much and I didn't want to copy it. What a pity, that you can't see the tiny cookies on the plates. Okay - I have to practice making plates and cups, but I hope Patty likes them nevertheless.... I made the cups with "hot chocolate", so Pattys dolls can play "coffee party" with the teddy. I'm afraid that he is a little piggy because he dribbled some of the cocoa - fortunately he had a bibSince days I'm working on new cushions and there will be a lot of styles. I hope, tomorrow I can show you some results.

First Minis for Sale

The last days I worked at the laptop from dusk till dawn. First I made a blog for a friend of mine, who has not a frigging idea, how to do it. Maria tells fairytales and I think it was time for her to present herself in the www. This is her blog.

Tutorial - How to Safe your Blog

I hope you don't mind a completely technical post, but I was so happy to find a way to save my blog WITH pictures and erverything, I had to share it with you.
There is a great tool  for downloading complete websites - it's HTTrack.
You can find a lot of sites in the net with directions and tutorials how to use it, but I'll show you the most important setting. Sorry, that the pictures are from the german version... I hope you get the idea...
Start with downloading and installing HTTrack on your computer.
It will lauch automatically.
Create a file on your computer where you like to store your back up.

 Click on the button to go on.

Browse to your file and click on the button to go on.

Add URL of your blog. And now the MOST IMPORTANT PART! You have to make settings (or one - that's a must")

If you don't set the maximum on 3, you will not only download your blog, but all the sites that are linked (and the site that are linked to these sites and so on and so on and so on). If you have enough space on your harddrive and days and days for downloading go on and try a higher setting - HA!

For more informations about the setting, ask google... I made only this one setting and it worked great.
Then click on finish.
You can check your download in your file, where you find something like this:

Please don't be mad with me, when something didn't word like I said, but it worked fine with me and many, many other people.
You have a lot of possibilities to download the program. I had my download from chip.de. They have a very good security and when I like to download programm, it's my favorite site. We don't like to get nasty viruses, don't we?

Yes! This weekend I tried to make a garden seat and I'm quite happy with it. Actually I made two of them. One is for sale, one for my garden. Now I have to consider the price. It's always so difficult. I put so many hours in the seat, not to mention the days of  fiddling about the "how to"....  But it also should be affordable. How do you make prices???

Cushions for the Bench

Last night and this evening I made the cushios for my bench. I'll have a lot of different cushions at the 1zu12 Fair in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. And I'm planning to sell my minatures online, but this will need a lot of thinking. I haven't decided how to do it - via etsy, my own website or via the blog. It would be great, if you could help me. In the moment I prefer the blog, because every customer can easily leave a comment.

Fly Agaric Bench

Yesterday I got "itchy" fingers.... I had to work with paint. This little bench just got in my way - and couldn't escape my painting attack. Now I work on matching cushions.
Patty - I'm sure, you don't mind my not going to the postoffice. Because tonight I've had an idea and you'll get some more minis....

Finished! The giveaway for Patty just stood the proof of Luzis last detailed examination.
And she looked really very close - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I have only one problem. I don't know, when I can mail it. Wish me luck, that I can reach the post office before closing time in the next days. It's only open till 6pm and I have a lot of work this week.

Medinilla from SammyJo - a little bit late

Today SammyJo send me the pictures of her Medinilla. I don't want to keep them back.
And she made new pictures from Ritas plant. It's better than the old one, so I show it again.

I promise, this will be the last Medinilla for a long long long time...

My Medinilla

 

Finally my Medinilla. It took me 9 hours to make it. But now I'm quite happy with the result.

Because the leaves are so very special, I painted them. These are watercolours from Windsor & Newton and Schmincke - my favorite brands. They are higly non-fading and the paper is acid-free. So the colours will last a long time. I'm always trying to make my miniatures with the best materials I can get. It would be too annoying to put a lot of time in a project and then to see it "fade away".

This is Ritas Medinilla. I'm always exited, when we have the same theme for our minis and they are all so different from the other, when finished. Just great!

Medinilla from Gundi

In December I asked about the Medinilla. Some of our Minihexen (Miniwitches) Group wanted to make this plant. Klara was so extremly nice to send me a tutorial - THANKS AGAIN, Klara!!! We alterered it a little bit and it worked quiet fine. Here you can see the Medinilla from Gundi. Tomorrow I'll show you Ritas plant - and my own, which I finished the night before my birthday (as a present for me) as last one on friday.

And I wanted to say thank you for all your birthday greeting! And even more for all your nice comments for my deli.
