A few month ago a friend of mine gave me this wonderful red lace. Now I found the perfect red silk for it. I made it for the planned hotel room scene. Hopefully it will be made 2015 (at the latest!).

Apeldoorn - Victoria Heredia

I felt in love with the cherubs from Victoria Heredia. But I couldn't think of a place for one. But I hope we'll find a place some time. Then I'll have "only" the problem to decide, if I should take a clock, the cherubs or the tiny birds. Her miniatures are soooooo lovely!

When I had my first 10 minutes to go through the hall I found such a cute mouse at the table of Christa Chayata. But then my handy buzzed - the sign, that my husband needed help at my table. When I came back to Christas table later, the mouse was sold - snivel...

Storage Boxes No.2

 

And these are my second favorite storage boxes.

 

Sometimes I add the card, where I bought it (or am I the only one who forgets after 3 years where I found these faboulous beads, that I need NOW and I have only one of them left. Where can I get them ASAP.....)

In my shelves they look like that. I printed the kind of whatsoever content on  paper and  put the small stripe into the box. It holds very well and I can replace the labeling whenever I want, without having a mess with glued on labels.

Storage Boxes No.1

Perhaps some of you noticed, that I added my favorite storage boxes in my Etsy shop. I just wanted to show my use of them and give some hints.

At the beginning of working with these screw together acrylic boxes, it happened, that they came apart. Perhaps you can imagine my cursing!
I made a little video to demonstrate, how I do it today....

When I raise the boxes, I make sure that they are screwed together very well. You can hear this special noise it makes, when it's not tightly screwed. At the end of the video you hear only the rattling of the content. Since I take care of it, when I place it AND when I pick it up nothing happened, that would provoke a curse again. I found them so much better, than boxes with many compartments, because I can tip out every single part.

Apeldoorn - Gerd Felka

 

BAAAAAD picture. Sorry for that - I'll try it again with my new light box I'm working on. I bought these old fashioned hyacinth glasses from Gerd Felka.

Addition:

HA! I'm ready with my light box. This is the new picture. Now I can take pictures in the evening (when I have time) and the weather doesn't matter too. Great.

Apeldoorn - Hubert & Arian Boom

Our wonderful neighbours at the show have been Hubert & Arian Boom. Of course I had to buy wood, but they also make wonderful furniture. When you visit their website, look out for the "chinese" cabinets.

Can Anyone Help Me - PLEASE

I wanted to put these Leckmuscheln (as we call them in Germany) into my Etsy shop, but I haven't the faintest idea, how they are called in English. Has anyone the answer???? It would be awfully nice, if you could let me know.
Addition: I mean the content of the glass jar. In Germany we call it "Leckmuscheln". These are shells, filled with something sticky and sweet. It will be licked like a lolly.
2nd addition: perhaps it is helpfull to see the full size sweet with wrapping here.

It's getting warm, but I get a Cold...

The last days I stayed in bed so I didn't write about the show in Apeldoorn. But now I'm feeling better - so I start with our neighbours....
And I'm stocking up my Etsy shop in the next days. I'll sell all the miniatures for witches  and wizzards, because I'll need free compartments for my new ideas and I don't need more minis for my "Nice Witch Scene" so I won't make any more for a long, long time (if ever).
And you'll find miniatures for a Patisserie. I just have to make pictures. I hope there will be sunshine tomorrow...

Back Again

 

I'm finally back from Apeldoorn, Amsterdam and Cologne, where we met family. Unfortuantely my Camera destroyed every picture from day 2 on, so I have only my table to show.
Tomorrow I'll write about the miniatures I liked most. There was so little time for me to stroll through the hall, but nevertheless I saw some beautiful minis. I hope you all had a good time. I'm happy to see so many new followers! And thank you for so many nice comments.
