Butterflies

This was a true challenge. They are really half scale, printed and painted so that they shimmer like the real ones. I also don't like the white rim from the paper, when they are cut out. But when I paint them, they look perfect. They have also a body and are fixed on a very small wire, so they can fly in the garden and don't have to be glued on a flower. The wire can be painted in the colour of the background, so you won't see it.

Weathered Sundials

When I started to make them, I couldn't stop. So I have a lot of them with me in London. But they are all OOAK. They where so much fun to make. I really love them.

Robin's Nest

After the KDF in London I will start with my own "Garden in Summer" and therefore I needed a lot of miniatures. The next days I will show you the weathered sundials and my shimmering butterflies. Today it's the nests of robins and an "unknown species".

My Little Chickadees

Perhaps the one of you, who don't wear diapers for quite some time, know the titel of this post in another context. I love W.C. Fields mumble "my little chicadee" to Mae West....
I kept one of the little birds for myself, because I have a "Garden in Winter". Erverything is handsculpted and painted by myself.

Keeping Up Appearances

Rainer made some beautiful hyacinth glass vases for me and while I was working on the flowers I saw "Keeping Up Appearances" on You Tube again. It's one of my favorite BBC Series. It wasn't aired in Germany, so I'm happy to see it this way. And I hit on the idea to make these "buckets". If you don't get the joke - have a look at You Tube..... I only say "it's Bouquet!!!"

What do you prefer?

Something sweet or a little bit of raw milk cheese after a delicate meal?
I know, I'd like to have both.
I'm now working on butter with an impression of a cow. I prefer cheese with butter and fresh baguette - oh my - I'm getting hungry...
The cakestands are from Rainer Stadler and Phil Grenyer. Phil will also be at the KDF in London.

Ribbonboxes

The last 7 months I was working hard to get all the miniatures ready for the London KDF - Kensington Dollshouse Festival in May.
Charlotte made a great site and for all of you, who like to take a peek - visit the official KDF website http://www.dollshousefestival.com/
During the next days I will upload a few photos, so you can receive an impression of my minis.
I'm very proud to exhibit at the KDF - together with my friend Jana Wichmann, who makes the most beautiful half scale pop-up-books - among other great books. If your Witch need to learn some new spells, Jana has the proper reading....
