One of the orders was a spinning top with whip.
The light ones on the left are made of beechwood and the dark ones from walnut. I forgot to add a Euro cent, but the diameter is about 4mm.
Hope you like it. For the next post I try to make decent pictures of my yoyos. I failed so far :( :)
I wish all of you a wonderful, happy & healthy 2015

Ooh, this is pure nostalgia from my childhood, Andrea, your toys are wonderful! When I was young I did use the whip so diligent that sparkles were flying around, I thought it was magic........but I didn't know that my father had used a sort of rope that had a small copper thread in it for the whip, hahaha ;)!
ReplyDeleteMy very best wishes for 2015 to you and yours!!
Liebe Grüsse, Ilona
Haha! That's great. But I prefer the "magic" version:)))
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours too:))

Hi Andrea! Happy New Year! What a great way to begin it too! I never had the pleasure of playing with this kind of wooden, but when I was young, I had a metal one where you pumped the handle up and down into the center of it, to wind it up and it spun around after you let it go, but your collection of miniature ones, look like much More Fun! :D

DeleteSame with me, Elizabeth.
DeleteThe whip & top was an order, but I had the same kind of top as you and I want to make them this year. They won't work like the real ones - and of course they wouldn't make the noise.... fortunately:)))
