Back again

We are back again from London and I'm still chuffed to bits. Can you believe it - I won the first prize at the KDF. Specially for my L...

The winner is always announced on Saturday evening, when the exhibitors are gathering for a little drink on the first floor. Even as a nice lady from the stuff came asking, if we'd be there, I haven't had the slightest clue. And when I was announced as winner - it struck me totally as surprise. I never would have thought that - even if I always try to make something special. But at the KDF are so many skilled miniature artists with their wonderful work. I haven't thought, I could win it, but I always dreamed about getting the first prize some day. Now I'm so happy and proud, that these little toy bricks made an impression:))) It took me years, till I found out, how to make them and I have to make a lot of them, because only a few are coming out perfect.
In the next days I'll show you pictures from the KDF and what I bought. I know some of you will be very envious, because I've got real lucky there too:)))) But I don't give the show away. You have to wait a little bit.

Have a wonderful day

Your Lego bricks are so tiny and well made! It must be very difficult to make them all so equal, I guess?
Now I am very curious to see what you have bought, but......sadly we have to wait now :(......hehehehe!
Have a nice weekend and a good rest :D!

    2. Thank you, Hannah. Be happy that real legos are so much larger. You couldn't find them in the carpet:) Or the cracks in a wooden floor - and I have a lot of them:)))

  7. Hi Andrea! I am so happy for you and CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D I know that you must be on Cloud 9 right now and rightly so. Your tiny lego blocks have the look and details of the real thing. They are not only the right color and size but they have the right amount of sheen to them as well. Often it is the relatively simple designs that can be the most difficult to replicate or scale down because there is little or No margin for error. I would imagine that a magnifying glass was needed to see your tiny blocks properly and any missteps would certainly become visible then. The fact that you won over the judges, indicates just how PERFECT you little Lego blocks are!
    A job Well Done! :D

    1. Thank you so much, Elizabeth. From a perfectionist like you, this is a great compliment. Can you believe, that most of the people didn't see them. I put a real lego block behind the mini version - and then I was asked, why I have them on my stand:)))) After the look through the magnifying glass they knew why:) It was so much fun to see the reactions.
      Have a wonderful time
