Conservatory - Datura Tree

I can't wait to show you, what I made during the last days. I love Datura trees. but with cats, it's to dangerous, because they're poisonous. In miniatures it's no problem:) Nearly all leaves are handcut and all the flowers are handcut and painted.

    Greetings Andrea, I have been up early and enjoying cruising around blog world. Yes, love the fragrance of Datura and a perfect foil to the orange tree.
    The bird cages are fantastic. Great job.

    Ooooohhhh, A Datura Tree!!! WOW! What a fantastic project! The Conservatory looks SO real... I was fooled for a minute! LOL! Your patience to cut all the blossoms by hand is just Amazing!!!

      By the way - to cut the blossoms isn't so much work, but the folding is a pain in the ... fingers.

    I never knew they were poisonous to kitties! Miniature version is beautiful

      Not only to kitties!
      Witches used datura for their flying ointments (with other plants), because the poisonous alkaloids make severe hallucinations. So they thought they' be flying.
      All parts of Datura are poisonous - most of all the roots and seeds. So you see - no plant for pets:)
